Transgender man and his beloved wife expecting their first baby using his eggs and her womb

A transgender man, Taylor Winters, 42, and his wife, Chloe, 33, are expecting their first child together after undergoing IVF using Taylor’s eggs, which he froze before transitioning.

The couple used a sperm donor and began IVF in February 2026. After their first attempt failed in March, they tried again in May and successfully conceived. They are expecting a baby girl in January 2027.

Taylor, who grew up in Transylvania, Romania, said he had always wanted biological children but never imagined himself being pregnant.

“From my perspective, I always wanted to have biological kids, but I didn’t want to be pregnant,” he said.

“We’re using both our eggs to start a family so we each have a biological connection.”

Taylor began testosterone treatment in November 2017 after meeting Chloe in 2016.

He later underwent top surgery in October 2019 and a hysterectomy in November 2023.

Recalling his experience after top surgery, he said: “It was such a liberating feeling. It was amazing not having to hide my chest – to go the beach and not have to wear a bra.”

Chloe, now 24 weeks pregnant, said the couple felt devastated when their first IVF attempt failed but remained determined to try again.

“It was amazing and such an amazing feeling, especially after having such devastating news the first time around,” she said after their successful second attempt.
