I needed some time to process my retirement day, but I’m finally ready to look back on the special moments and share some behind-the-scenes memories with you all. ❤️

My colleagues all dressed in proper cheesy French attire for my last company class, and it was the cutest surprise!!! And then @devinalberda made T-shirts featuring photos he’s taken of me over the years, so everywhere I looked, people were literally wearing my memories. 🥹

Long before that day, I knew I wanted @gonzalogarcia79 to teach and the witty @michael_scales_ to play. I asked for music from “our generation,” and somehow I remember a lot of Disney classics making the playlist 😂🥰. Gonzo taught an amazing class, but I could barely pay attention and completely messed up the combinations. Despite all the celebratory chaos and emotions—which I usually don’t allow myself to fully feel until after a performance—I could tell in class that I was on my leg and feeling strong. It was such a gift to trust my body that day and know the ballet would simply happen.

The moment I walked into company class, I was overwhelmed by the love. You guys celebrated me in a way I will never forget and it truly means the world. Love and validation from the people who are in the thick of it with me— that’s really been something I have highly valued at the end of it all.

To all my colleagues: thank you for letting me be so unapologetically myself. Thank you for putting up with my laugh that can be heard from several floors away. Thank you for letting me become the resident “mom” over these last few years. I have loved being there for you, dancing beside you, supporting you, and most of all, finding the fun in it all and laughing together.

They also gave me a couple of incredibly special pieces of jewelry: an amazing @jamiewolfjewelry necklace with 25 pavé diamonds to celebrate my 25 years with the company, along with beautiful matching pavé earrings. I’ve worn them every day since.

As I move into this next chapter, I’ll carry all of you in my heart. And I’ll always be just a text, FaceTime, or phone call away. ❤️
