WALLS OF JERICHO FAMILY! I NEED YOU! Calling all my women folk from around the world! All-Women of all backgrounds, nonbinary folks and anyone who identifies. I want YOU to be part of our next music video! Here’s all you have to do: 1. Grab your iPhone and record using the back camera, NOT selfie mode! 2. Phone Horizontal in the 4k mode if possible 3. As far as due date: Oct 30, bit sooner if better! 4. Grab a light-colored poster board, roughly 25” x 25”. 5. With a THICK black marker, write a word or phrase you’ve had ENOUGH of hearing. Maybe it’s something you’ve heard your whole life. Maybe it’s something recent that stuck with you. Those little cuts, stereotypes, double standards, and bullshit we’ve been told to accept. 6. Hold your sign up for 5 seconds, then RIP THAT SHIT UP! THAT’S IT! A 10–15 second video! Don’t want your face shown? Wear a bandanna, mask, whatever makes you feel comfortable and gives you the courage to stand up, speak out, and BE HEARD! Due date for all videos is October 30th If you’re IN, comment “FUCK YEAH” below! I’ll send you the Google Drive info so you can upload your video without losing quality. Let’s stand together, make some noise, and MAKE FUCKING HISTORY!

Judi Gorski’s home overlooks one of San Francisco’s newest and most spectacular attractions: a two-mile, car-free stretch of coastal highway where visitors bike, skateboard and stroll against a backdrop of crashing waves. She refuses to step foot on it. Gorski is among those fuming since voters permanently closed most of Upper Great Highway to cars, creating what became Sunset Dunes park last year. The move pushed as many as 20,000 vehicles a day onto alternate routes, including Gorski’s street. “I’m so angry about it,” said the 75-year-old retired owner of a small art business on a recent sun-splashed day. “I mean, my street has become a major artery.” Frustration on San Francisco’s West Side runs deep enough that there is now a new measure, Proposition G, on the Nov. 3 ballot. If passed, it would restore vehicles to the stretch on weekdays. The campaign has turned fierce, featuring money from wealthy San Franciscans, social-media vitriol and yellow “Yes on G” and green “No on G” fliers plastered citywide. Jeremy Stoppelman, CEO of Yelp, has bankrolled about half of the $800,000 raised for No on G; the Yes side has raised about $130,000. Opponents of Prop. G argue that returning cars would mean an almost unthinkable loss of one of the most unique promenades in the U.S., erasing, they say, an oasis with amenities like skateboard ramps, an outdoor gym and playground equipment. Cyclists use one side of the four-lane highway while pedestrians stroll the other, often with pelican formations flying overhead. The fight in San Francisco mirrors friction nationwide in cities that have increasingly installed bike lanes and converted streets to pedestrian use. Europe pioneered the “pedestrianization” movement decades ago, and it accelerated in the U.S. during the pandemic, becoming wildly popular with many, while critics say it often just shifts congestion elsewhere and makes it harder to get around. Read more at the link in our bio. Photos: Penny Collins/NurPhoto/Reuters, Stephen Lam/San Francisco Chronicle/AP Video: Reuters
