At a crowded beach, someone arrived carrying exactly 42 towels like they were preparing for a very serious towel-based emergency. No one asked why 42—least of all the towels themselves, who seemed increasingly aware they were part of something bigger. The towels were carefully arranged in a perfect geometric formation on the sand, as if awaiting instructions from a higher authority or possibly a very organized picnic. Things got weird when a beach heater nearby suddenly revealed a hidden compartment labeled “Casino Access,” which no one had noticed before because it had always just been used for suspiciously warm pretzels. The heater quietly clicked, opened like a vending machine from another dimension, and apparently led straight to a casino somewhere nobody could agree on. Half the group followed it immediately, while the other half insisted the towels needed supervision. By sunset, the beach was empty, the towels were running the towel economy among themselves, and the heater was still humming like it had just facilitated the most financially questionable vacation in coastal history.
