District Sounds 2026 was everything. 🎶

The most perfect spring day. The wind during the Argentine orchestra, as if it had been part of the setlist all along. People dancing to Verny Varela and Tumbao’s salsa. Flamenco and tap at sunset. Carly Harvey singing Nina Simone alongside the kids from CHEC. Singing along to Oddisee’s That’s Love, a song that feels like it was written for this exact day. And then, at the end of the night, something quiet and magical — the orchestra playing, the waterfront still, all of us just there.

This festival is built on community. So many of the people who make District Sounds happen are volunteers who show up out of pure love for music and for this city. Watching this project grow year after year fills us with gratitude and excitement for what comes next.

Thank you to everyone who came, who performed, who helped make it happen. See you next year. 🤍
