I Challenged The Master...And Won (ICTMAW), the debut collaborative album from NYC-born MC and NAACP Image Award-nominated artist Nenjah Nycist and Finland-based producer/DJ duo Cut Beetlez, is that kind of record.
Raw, cinematic, and unapologetically underground.
3 years in the making, this album is uncompromised and sharp. — this is the sound of a challenge accepted, and won.
If MF DOOMs labyrinthine wordplay, WU-TANG’s martial mythology, and EARL
SWEATSHIRTs introspective menace could converge into a single body of work — ICTMAW
would be it. Equal parts poetry and warfare. Nenjahs pen is surgical; the beats, bruising. Beats as hard as tamahagane steel, sharpened with the particular passion for words to challenge the best blades of Hattori Hanzō.

ICTMAW is being released the way it deserves to be experienced: as a physical, tactile event. The vinyl rollout includes a limited run of 200 units (60 red, 140 black) with a Ultra Rare Japanese Edition with shodō slip cover designed by Eiren.
