Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) akan meminta waktu kepada penyedia indeks global Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) untuk mengklarifikasi usulan reklasifikasi pasar saham Indonesia menjadi standalone market. Direktur Pengembangan BEI Iding Pardi mengatakan, bursa akan menyampaikan bukti konkret reformasi transparansi, integritas, dan likuiditas pasar modal, termasuk peningkatan keterbukaan data kepemilikan saham dan penguatan tata kelola. BEI juga menegaskan bahwa penyesuaian kebijakan perdagangan, termasuk penerapan short selling, bukan parameter utama yang menjadi dasar proposal MSCI. Iding mengimbau investor agar tidak keliru menafsirkan istilah standalone market dan tetap mencermati fundamental saham serta kinerja emiten.
