The Thunder gotta be genuinely one of the most hated teams in the entire NBA right now and the reasons behind it keep piling up every single playoff game we watch 😭🤦🏽 Bro this OKC squad has somehow turned themselves into the villain of the league without even trying, and you can feel the energy shifting against them with every series they play. The constant flopping, the foul baiting, the endless trips to the free throw line, the cozy relationships with the refs, all of it has the basketball world genuinely fed up watching their games. Casual fans, hardcore fans, neutral fans, everybody is finding a reason to root against the Thunder when they hit the floor right now 🚪
The crazy part is OKC actually has one of the most talented young rosters in the entire league, led by a back to back MVP in Shai Gilgeous Alexander, and they should be a fan favorite team in theory 💯 Young core, exciting style, deep playoff run, all the ingredients are there for them to be the new beloved underdog story. But the way they play the game has rubbed everybody the wrong way, and the officiating around their series has only made the hate grow louder by the day. Even the OKC Nuns trolling and the Code Red moments are getting flipped against them in the public eye 🔥 The Thunder might end up winning the championship this year and the rest of the league might just collectively roll their eyes at the parade. Being the most hated team in the league is not always a bad thing in sports history, just ask the old Patriots dynasty, but right now OKC is genuinely wearing the villain crown whether they wanted it or not.
