"I don't want to give away too much."
I hear this from coaches every week. And I get it. You spent years building that expertise. It feels backwards to hand it out for free.
But here's what's actually happening when you hold back:
The prospect doesn't think "wow, they must know a lot."
They think "I'm not sure they can help me."
Withholding doesn't signal value. It signals insecurity.
The coaches charging $20k, $30k, $50k for their programs? They give away more free value than most people charge for.
Because they understand something most coaches don't:
You can't give away the transformation. Only the information.
Someone can read every post I write about publishing ecosystems and still need me to build theirs. The knowing and the doing are not the same thing.
Give away the what. Give away the why. Give away the how.
They'll still need you for the execution.
And by the time they're ready to hire someone, they already know exactly who that is.
The coach who helped them. Not the one who hid.
What's one thing you've been holding back that your audience actually needs to hear?
