The Denver Broncos took down the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks 17-14 in an overtime thriller, with the defense doing almost all the heavy lifting. Bo Nix completed 17 of 27 passes for just 107 yards, while Denver finished with only 168 total yards of offense. J.K. Dobbins rushed for 41 yards on 17 carries and scored a touchdown, while rookie RJ Harvey added a 1-yard rushing score. The Broncos’ defense made up for the offensive struggles by recording 5 sacks, 17 quarterback hits and 3 takeaways, constantly disrupting Sam Darnold and keeping Seattle off the scoreboard for most of the game.

Darnold finished 27-of-51 for 278 yards, zero touchdowns and 2 interceptions, taking five sacks in a frustrating night for Seattle’s offense. Jaxon Smith-Njigba was the clear bright spot, hauling in 12 receptions for 134 yards, while Emanuel Wilson added 52 rushing yards on 14 carries. Seattle erased an 11-point fourth-quarter deficit behind George Holani’s touchdown and a successful two-point conversion before Jason Myers tied the game with a 34-yard field goal with three seconds left. But Ja’Quan McMillian’s overtime interception changed everything, setting up Wil Lutz’s clutch 53-yard game-winner. Denver improved to 4-2, while Seattle fell to 3-3 after its second straight loss.
