Today should have been my nephew Khalil’s 32nd birthday. Instead of celebrating his life with cake, laughter, and memories, our family is grieving a loss that never should have happened. 💔💔💔💔

Khalil was more than a headline. He was loved. He was somebody’s son, nephew, family, and future. His life mattered.

There is no pain like having a birthday turn into a reminder of trauma, unanswered questions, and heartbreak. We miss his smile, his presence, and the moments we will never get back.

Today we honor Khalil. We speak his name. We remember his life. And we continue to pray for justice, healing, and peace for our family.
