Islamabad Run With Us

@margallahillsmarathon The vibe at the Margalla Hills Half Marathon 2026 was unmatched. 🏔

From youth to elders. Locals to internationals. Every runner, every pacer, every volunteer — all of them showing up for each other on the same trails at the same time.

The atmosphere was electric. Runners encouraging strangers mid-climb. Volunteers holding the line at every critical point. A community that didn’t just run a race, it showed what it’s made of.

8 years ago, IRU organised Pakistan’s first ever trail half marathon, the Margalla Hills
half Marathon’s first edition, with no blueprint, no trail running culture and no guarantee anyone would show up.

This year, the Margalla Hills Half Marathon sells out in under a week. People from all walks of life, all ages, all backgrounds trust this race, trust this community and keep coming back.
That trust is everything. And we don’t take it lightly.

This is the Margalla Hills Half Marathon. Built by IRU. Owned by the community. 🤝
