Pushpa: The Rise is a 2021 action drama film that follows Pushpa Raj, a fearless daily-wage laborer who rises through the ranks of an illegal red sandalwood smuggling syndicate in the Seshachalam Hills of Andhra Pradesh.

Early Struggles and Rise
• Low Beginnings: Pushpa starts as a coolie (laborer) facing social rejection and humiliation because he is born out of wedlock and lacks a recognized family name.

• Smuggling Innovation: He quickly stands out for his sharp wits and courage, helping the local smuggling ring evade police checkpoints by hiding logs underwater.

• Taking Control: After joining the Konda Reddy syndicate, Pushpa refuses to stay at the bottom. He outsmarts rival factions, demands a bigger share of the profits, and bypasses higher-up syndicate boss Mangalam Srinu to become a powerful leader in his own right.

Romance and Conflicts
• Srivalli: Amidst the dangerous smuggling operations, Pushpa falls in love with a local woman named Srivalli, whose affection becomes a tender anchor in his chaotic life.

• Power Struggles: Pushpa steadily crushes opposing gangs and challenges the established syndicate hierarchy, making him immensely wealthy and feared.
Climax and Rivalry

• The New Police Threat: In the final act, the ruthless and arrogant SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat takes charge to wipe out the smuggling ring.

• The Final Showdown: Shekhawat publicly humiliates Pushpa over his illegitimate birth. However, Pushpa refuses to bow down, setting up a fierce psychological and physical rivalry that tees up the sequel, Pushpa 2: The Rule.
