Viatea

Over the course of three days, we had the privilege of stepping into the world of tea farmers, walking through different tea landscapes and trying our hands at making our own tea. It has been such a joyful and humbling experience ☁️

Throughout the journey, we found ourselves constantly returning to the question of what makes each tea what it is. The environment where it is grown, the farming approach, the countless decisions during tea making, and even the way the tea is brewed all shape the final cup in their own way. In the end, tea is never the result of just one factor, but the coming together and interaction of many. At the heart of it all are people ❤️ The person growing the tea, making the tea, and brewing the tea.

In many ways, this tour felt the same. What made these few days so special was the people who came together to create it. The tea farmers so open-heartedly shared their stories, knowledge, and tea with us, while the wonderful group of participants brought warmth, laughter, curiosity, and perspective through their different personalities.

This tour reminded us that tea, and community, are both something that’s shaped collectively 🍃
