After 26 days, Sonam Wangchuk has ended his hunger strike. 🇮🇳

He broke his fast at the hospital in the presence of JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh, following PM Narendra Modi's message on X assuring action and addressing the concerns raised during the protest.

Wangchuk has also shared his official statement on X after ending the fast.

I recently returned to Cambodia, where we’ve been building the @maddoxfoundation — a 100% locally led organization — since 2003. I’d like to share a little more about our story.

The @maddoxfoundation started with an urgent mission: to clear the land of mines left over from years of conflict, enabling locals to live and farm on it again. Once the land was safe, the work took on new shape.

Now, our rangers — recruited and trained locally — patrol the Samlaut forest against logging and poaching. Women support their families through sustainable beekeeping programs. Students from remote villages can stay at the Samlaut dormitory to finish high school. Our health center cares for mothers and young children.

All of this is led by the people who live in the community.

براساس اعلام خانه سینما، بازیگر پیشکسوت سینما و تلویزیون عصر امروز جمعه دوم مرداد به دلیل ایست قلبی در بیمارستان درگذشت.

اکبر عبدی آقاباقر بازیگر پیشکوت سینما، تئاتر و تلویزیون، دارنده نشان درجه یک فرهنگ و هنر متولد ۴ شهریور ۱۳۳۹ در تهران بود، او از سال ۱۳۵۸ با دریافت مدرک دیپلم با نمایش‌های آماتوری فعالیت هنری‌اش را آغاز کرد و سپس از سال ۱۳۶۱ به تلویزیون رفت. عبدی فعالیت خود را از اواخر دهه ۱۳۵۰ آغاز کرد و از هنرجویان مدرسه هنر و ادبیات صدا و سیما بوده است که با مجموعه تلویزیونی «باز مدرسم دیر شد» (۱۳۶۲) شناخته شد.
