Rethinking ceramic display at Cersaie: a sustainable approach?
/ We worked to reduce the environmental impact of this project from the very concept stage, designing a narrative space based on the following strategies.
/ Use of modular pine wood structures FSC-certified, fully reusable. Rough fabric wraps the upper part of the walls.
/ The wooden frame matches the height and the volume of neighbouring booths, while solid walls rise only up to 240cm-reducing power consumption, transport emissions and dismantling waste.
/ A ziggurat composed of hundreds of Sansevieria plants-evergreen houseplants known for their air-purifying qualities and ability to remove toxins-is places at the center of the booth.
/ A hydroponic garden supplies the show-cooking area. Together with sustainably produced displays and props, it supports a nudging approach that encourages visitors to engage with eco-conscious design solutions.
/ A set of visual icons identifies the sustainability areas addressed by our client’s actions, establishing an empathetic connection with visitors.
