Note: These propaganda photographs were meant to show the beauty and aesthetics of the time. This post is meant to show exactly that. This is propaganda history, an important factor of the history of the Third Reich. The last photograph explains what it eventually led to. These photographs document the Landjahr, a year-long rural labor and training program for German adolescents that expanded after 1934 under the National Socialist government. Boys and girls were placed in camps and on farms across the Reich, where they performed agricultural work, lived in organized groups, and received instruction meant to strengthen ties to the countryside and to the collective β€œVolk.” The images show tent encampments, field labor, handicrafts, outdoor lectures, music, physical drills, and flag ceremonies, accompanied by slogans stressing community over the individual, agrarian identity, pre-military training, and ancestor commemoration. The program was linked to the Hitler Youth, the Bund Deutscher MΓ€del, and the later Reichsarbeitsdienst. The photographs formed part of the official visual propaganda of the German Reich in the 1930s and early 1940s.

The Lord will not forget you. Your faithfulness is bringing fruitfulness. Your obedience is bringing abundant overflow. Your season has changed. Things are shifting. TNHT Staff: @hausofaaron __________________ Neighbors, students and community members gathered outside an East Austin home recently after a video of a heated confrontation between a Huston-Tillotson University student named Bri and a couple went viral. __________________ In the video, Bri (briii.likethecheese) confronts the couple over claims that they had been leaving notes on students’ cars asking them to move from public street parking near the university. __________________ The woman then responds, β€œWe paid $1.5 million for our house, y’all’s graduation rates are 25%.” When Bri points out that the couple lives in a historically Black neighborhood, the woman responds, β€œThis is our neighborhood!” __________________ The confrontation has since sparked backlash, with students and community members gathering outside the home to protest. Some held signs reading, β€œYou bought a house, not our history, East Austin is ours.” __________________ The City of Austin’s Transportation and Public Works department confirmed that parking is allowed on those blocks, except in restricted areas such as intersections, corner clearances and driveways. 😠πŸŽ₯: briii.likethecheese @thehealingprojectatx
