my mommy was my age when she had me. when i took a step back to think about it, i was so amazed with how she was able to do it.

being in your 20s is such a pivotal moment of your life. you’re exposed to so many opportunities, endless possibilities that shape who you are as an individual. along with the growth that comes your way are fears and anxieties about the future and what it holds for you. my mom braved those formative years while raising me.

while i was crying, scared because I needed my mommy to hold my hand, it never occured to me as a kid that my mommy probably needed her hands to be held, too. i mean how could i realize with that much depth at five years old but now that i’m older, i think of how at the end of the day, she was just a girl living life for the first time, too.

i look up to my mommy because there were so many times she kept it together while i couldn’t. she stood still when everything was shaky, even when the uncertainties got scary.

i love my mommy. i’ll always be mommy’s girl. i’m bad at expressing how i feel, but i turned it into a mother’s day post because she deserves to be celebrated 🤍🌸🌷 stop getting old pls 😣😣😣

lol i forgot to post here
