One of the most critical programs DC funds to help our young people is called “Community Schools”- a model where we bring all the wrap around supports students and families need directly in to schools- things like medical and dental care, clothing, food pantries, transportation support and much more.
The Mayor’s budget completely cut the funding, AGAIN! We’re holding a big rally Thursday May 14th at 10 am outside the Wilson Building to ask the council to provide the funding.
