Y2U3 Wake Up! Book Cover Design
This book cover was designed for “Tachen” celebrating the filmography of award winning director Spike Lee!
Layout of the cover was inspired by his iconic cinematography and boldness as a director and storyteller. The title references his message he tells the audience in all his films “Wake Up!”. Lee as a director is authentic, controversial, provocative and to reflect that I wanted a typeface that wasn’t perfect it had to be gritty but bold!
