Please everyone say a prayer for my sweet Gizmo 😔 He is 15 years old and has been fighting his VERY first ear infection and it was a bad one. He is just not himself lately and does not feel good 🙏🏻

But quietly over the years — more than 100 of them, if you’re counting — a second menu item captured the hearts, souls and fragile wallets of the locals who flocked to the landmark restaurant every season. A more affordable, equally delicious option, if you can believe it: Four pieces of perfectly fried poultry. Half a chicken!
Not greasy, enough for two meals and a stalwart companion to any side dish, sold for a mere $8.95.

Now, the $8.95 chicken that fed a county costs $14.95. With all due respect to the Flanigan’s $6.99 lunch menu and the $1.50 Costco hot dog, R.I.P. to the best deal in Miami.
