Tomorrows the day 🎓 thank you @loyolamaryland 💚

I couldn’t have done this w out my family, mentors, friends, and God by my side. Through any obstacle that seemed near impossible to overcome, my support systems showed why my path was meant to continue onward.

To know that I’m the first in my family to pursue a doctorate degree is incredibly special, but none of it was done on my own. My parents sacrificed everything to give me the life they never had; to become someone strong, independent, and willfully able. My name is on my degree, but I wear their honor every day because without them, I could not have accomplished my dreams.

Daddy, thank you for keeping my education a priority, even if it meant yours were neglected. Your struggles were always silent; you carried them with grace. Yet, you always put me first. Your hard working persona is what makes me who I am; you are all that I am. I do all and everything for you, and I could only hope I make you as proud as you make me.
