Have you noticed… or is it just me?

The United States always wants the best products from Mexico.

First it was the tacos.
Then the Caesar salad.
Mexican Beer.
Mexican Coca-Cola.
Chips.
Aguacates.
Now Electrolit too.

But the second these products cross into the U.S… somehow they don’t taste the same anymore.

Different recipe.
Different ingredients.
Higher price.

Mexico version:
better flavor, colder somehow, and half the price.

U.S. version:
“imported” with a quality downgrade and a more than double the price markup.

At this point if I see something in the US that says “Made in Mexico,” I already know what to expect.

And that’s the price from Oxxo or 7eleven, if you get it from Soriana or Walmart type of store you get it at like 25 pesos

It costs a lot to import products. The price rises of course, but if they create a contract with a company in the states it is made with inferior ingredients that the usa company has at hand with thier distributors and suppliers.

I mean it's worth every penny in the US and especially in New York. Maybe I have money to waste on that.

Not to mention that the prices displayed in Mexico include tax while in the US prices displayed don't include tax. Which means in New York, the final price would be closer to 4.70usd, which is more than double the advertised 37mxn, from Mexico, once you convert the currency.
