‘Zâhid Bizi Ta’n Eyleme’ is a celebrated Turkish Sufi poem brought to the ROOTED stage in Ankara by @samiyusuf, whose own interpretation and arrangement breathe new life into this cherished piece of Turkish musical heritage. Traditionally attributed to Bezcizâde Şeyh Mehmed Muhyiddîn Efendi, known as Muhyi, this 17th-century poem reflects the depth of Ottoman-era mystical poetry. Rooted in the Melâmî tradition, its words challenge outward judgment and superficial displays of piety, emphasising inner humility, sincere devotion and a love of the Divine that reaches beyond appearances. This powerful performance, presented alongside the extraordinary @fonssophiaecollective, brings centuries of Turkish musical heritage and Sufi poetry into a captivating contemporary musical experience. 🇹🇷✨ Through its evocative words and expressive melodies, ‘Zâhid Bizi Ta’n Eyleme’ reminds us that the deepest expressions of faith are found not in outward appearances, but in the sincerity of the heart. 🎬 Filmed by @mustafacnsiz #samiyusuf #zahidbizitaneyleme #rooted #turkishmusic #worldmusic Zâhid Bizi Ta’n Eyleme • Muhyi • Ottoman Poetry • Turkish Sufi Poetry • Melâmî Tradition • Sufi Music • Turkish Musical Heritage • Fons Sophiae Collective • ROOTED Ankara • ROOTED Türkiye • Spiritual Music • World Music Traditions • Traditional Music • Divine Love • Inner Devotion • Live Performance • Türkiye 2026
Abhishek Malhan, aka Fukra Insaan, shared some thought-provoking views on the current reality show culture during a podcast with Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi. Speaking about the ongoing Bigg Boss scene, he said, “Aaj kal aisa ban gaya hai ki reality show mein agar aap ladai-jhagda karte ho toh aap sigma ho, jo ki bahut galat hai.” 💯 His statement highlights how fights, arguments and aggressive behaviour are increasingly being perceived as signs of strength and a winning game. But shouldn't reality shows be about showcasing one's real personality, talent and entertainment quotient rather than glorifying unnecessary conflicts? Abhishek's take has certainly sparked an important conversation about what audiences celebrate in reality TV. 👀🔥 . . . Follow:- @tcx.official . . . The government review into Autism and ADHD found that there is not evidence to conclude that autism is being overdiagnosed at scale. There is an increase in diagnosis but that the actual number of people who are autistic has remained broadly stable. The National Autistic Society analysed 83 research papers which showed: Autism is genetic. Genes are passed from parents, which explains why autism often runs in families. There isn’t a single gene which causes autism. It is the combination of thousands of genes.
