Jimmy Odukoya introduces new wife to church members Pastor Jimmy Odukoya has officially unveiled his new wife to his congregation at the Fountain of Life Church in Ilupeju, Lagos. Addressing his church members during service today November 1st, Odukoya said, “Ever since i became a pastor, i have been doing this work of life alone. The bible said its not good. I was looking and searching and i found. I am sure some of you saw the post, some people said is it artwork? It is my wife, so allow me to intoduce to you for the first time, Pastor Mrs. Mo. Odukoya, my wife. A new first lady.” The introduction came days after the cleric sparked speculation with a social media photograph showing two hands wearing wedding rings. His new wife is the daughter of Reverend Theophilus and Bolaji Daniel. Jimmy, who is the son of late Pastor Taiwo Odukoya and late Bimbo Odukoya, was previously married to Kemi, in 2013. They have two children together.

One of Bollywood's catchiest disco songs arguably had even greater success in a completely different country. This is the story of how the song 'Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy Aaja' from the soundtrack to the 1982 Bollywood film Disco Dancer (produced by prolific bollywood music producer Bhappi Lahiri) became an unmitigated success in the Soviet Union. It has even been suggested that the song became so integral to Soviet society, a common hit even at weddings, that the song could be used by Soviets as a test of potential foreign spies, to see if someone truly grew up in the USSR. Whether this was truly done or is simply an urban legend, it's amazing how popular an indian movie's climactic dance song became in an entitely different country, language and culture. A special shout out to my friends at the @therevolverclub for finding me this copy of the soundtrack on vinyl! Be sure to listen out for it in my upcoming sets 🤙 [ Disco, Music History, Vinyl Records, India, Bollywood, Soviet Union, Movie History ]
