Bucket list worthy scenic roadtrips! 🇺🇸🚗 Some of the best adventures in America happen before you even leave your car! Between winding mountain roads and coastal cliffs to waterfalls and historic highways, these are 8 scenic drives worth planning a road trip around, coming from someone who’s roadtripped through more than half of the country! 🏔️ CUSTER STATE PARK, SOUTH DAKOTA 🟢 Drive Needles Highway, a 14 mile route featuring granite spires, hairpin turns and narrow rock tunnels. 🟢 Stop at Sylvan Lake and Cathedral Spires. The highway typically closes in winter. 🍁 KANCAMAGUS HIGHWAY, NEW HAMPSHIRE 🟢 This 34.5 mile drive connects Lincoln and Conway through the White Mountains. 🟢 Visit Sabbaday Falls, Rocky Gorge and Hancock Overlook. Early October is typically great for fall colors. 🌲 SCENIC HIGHWAY 215, NORTH CAROLINA 🟢 Drive through Pisgah National Forest and stop at Sunburst Falls, located right beside the highway. 🟢 Connect to the Blue Ridge Parkway for Graveyard Fields and Black Balsam Knob. 🌊 HIGHWAY 1, CALIFORNIA 🟢 Drive the Big Sur coastline for ocean cliffs, coastal bridges and Pacific views. 🟢 Stop at Bixby Creek Bridge and McWay Falls. Check Highway 1 closures before traveling. 🍂 CHIEF LOGAN STATE PARK, WEST VIRGINIA 🟢 Explore Tomblin Drive for winding mountain roads and colorful forests. 🟢 Visit in mid to late October for fall foliage. Combine with nearby Logan area scenic roads. 🏞️ TETON PARK ROAD, WYOMING 🟢 Drive through Grand Teton National Park with views of the Teton Range. 🟢 Stop at Jenny Lake and Signal Mountain. The road typically closes to vehicles in winter. 🌵 HISTORIC ROUTE 66, ARIZONA 🟢 Drive through Seligman, Kingman and Oatman for classic Americana and desert landscapes. 🟢 The Oatman Highway section features sharp curves and steep mountain grades. 💦 FAMOUS FALLS SCENIC DRIVE, TENNESSEE 🟢 This 178 mile Upper Cumberland route connects four waterfall destinations. 🟢 Visit Burgess Falls, Rock Island, Fall Creek Falls and Ozone Falls. Allow 2 days to explore.
Just a cute and creepy crawly handprint craft for all the little spider lovers this Halloween season! I painted my little one’s hands black (except the thumb) and stamped them together on a paper. Then I let him add as many googly eyes as he wanted. And finally I cut it out and glued it to a piece of cardstock so that it’s a little more durable.
Help me choose, my dears: which character am I going to be? 🤓 I found two pairs of true vintage cat-eye glasses, and I love them so much I made up a little backstory about each one. The brown pair feels like the kindly librarian who saves your favorite books for you. The blue sparkly pair feels like she knows all the village gossip—and will tell you over coffee, once she’s established that you’re trustworthy. 🤭 Of course, the librarian probably knows all the gossip too. She’s simply more discreet about it. So, what do you think? Brown or blue sparkles? Or do you see an entirely different character? Mostly I just want to know what you think I might be! Nanalovesyou
