I recently met Mohammad Omer Khalil in his studio in Queens.
It felt like a gift getting to know him and see his world — a Sudanese-born artist and master printmaker, now in his nineties, still working every day from a space filled with memory, objects, and a lifetime of movement between places and people.
After seeing his current exhibition (Common Ground) meeting him made everything feel more alive.
