Building & progressing.
Warm ups are non-negotiable. I combine mine with mobility, drills and activation work to prepare my body and reduce injury risk.
Today’s session has some eccentric exercises. Slow on the way down, explosive on the way up — squats, B-stance RDLs and weighted chin ups.
Eccentric training builds strength, muscle control and tendon resilience. For sprint athletes it’s especially important, strong eccentric hamstrings reduce injury risk and improve performance on the track.
Slowing movements down and controlling positions is where real progression happens.
