It started innocently: someone eating chicken fingers like a normal human being. But halfway through the meal, they declared the chicken fingers “emotionally underleveled” and decided to take them to a whole new dimension—specifically, El Pollo Loco. No one is sure how a fast-food philosophy was applied mid-bite, but suddenly the chicken fingers were being treated like they had enrolled in culinary graduate school.

Things escalated when a fireplace got involved. For reasons no one could fully trace, the diner insisted the chicken needed “authentic flame-based encouragement,” and began dramatically holding the plate near the fire like they were forging a medieval snack weapon. By the time they said, “Now we’re really cooking,” the chicken fingers had achieved mythic status, the fireplace felt emotionally included, and El Pollo Loco was quietly promoted to “spiritual mentor of poultry.”
