5 months agoThe Great Wall of China is one of those things you see in photographs your entire life — and then you stand there and realize that photos never capture the wind, the silence, or the feeling of how small you are. Stretching for more than 20,000 kilometers, the wall has wound across the hills of China for centuries, built by different dynasties over time. The steps are steep, uneven, and unforgiving. And if you’ve already spent two days walking through Beijing beforehand, your legs are burning from the very beginning. After a while, your body wants to stop, and your mind starts looking for excuses. But somewhere along the way, you realize you are not conquering the wall — you are conquering yourself. The Great Wall is proof that the greatest things are never built quickly. And that the steepest paths are often the ones you never forget. If I had to describe it in just one sentence: a stone snake winding across the mountains and disappearing into the mist. #travel #china🇨🇳 #mutianyu #wall
