Ever since I was a kid watching Finding Nemo, I wanted to see and photograph a barracuda. Most people remember it as the villain from the opening scene, the fish that ate all the eggs. But for some reason, that made it even more fascinating to me.
Three years ago, I finally saw my first school of barracuda underwater. They were tiny, only around 10 cm long, but I was already amazed.
This time was different. I found a huge school with what felt like hundreds of fish. They were still juveniles, but much larger—around 30 cm for the smaller ones and up to 50–60 cm for the biggest individuals, which you will see in my next post. Watching them move together through the water was incredible. Fast, elegant, and absolutely mesmerizing.
