Three years since I last heard your voice, saw your smile, felt the comfort of knowing I could call you whenever I needed you. Three years since the world kept moving while mine felt like it stopped.
People often think grief gets smaller with time. What I’ve learned is that grief doesn’t disappear—it changes shape. It becomes part of you. It shows up in the quiet moments, in the milestones, in the songs that remind you of them, in the memories that arrive unexpectedly and leave you both smiling and aching at the same time.
Navigating life without my dad has been one of the hardest journeys I’ve ever faced. It’s learning how to celebrate achievements while wishing he was here to witness them. It’s wanting to pick up the phone when something exciting happens, only to remember that I can’t. It’s carrying both gratitude and heartbreak in the same heart every single day.
Grief is strange because love has nowhere to go. It’s missing someone in a thousand different ways. It’s realizing that no matter how much time passes, there will always be moments when all I want is one more conversation, one more hug, one more chance to say, “I love you.”
But grief is also proof of how deeply we loved. And if love could have kept you here, you would have stayed forever.

Happy father’s day Dad. To know you and to be loved by you was the greatest gift of life. I miss you dearly
