I remember reading all those “reasons my child is crying” tweets back whenever that trend first started (early 2010s, maybe? Damn). Specifically, I remember thinking something along the lines of, “Children seem insane. Surely their parents could all be doing a better job of, like, reasoning with them?”

But today, this brand new 2-year-old had a full meltdown at Edgewater Park because we wouldn’t let him run down a dangerously steep hill to go into the “bih wawa,” a.k.a. the big water, a.k.a. Lake Erie. 🫠

So. You know. Here we are. Parenting will humble you, I’ll say that.

Today my 2 year old niece sobbed because it’s not Halloween and my 3 year old daughter sobbed because we had tiny marshmallows and not big ones. 💁🏼‍♀️

They really are all so different too! Parenting seems to be more about just working with their unique personalities to keep them alive while they figure out the world. 😂 …all 3 of mine are so different, one can be super easy in a situation where the other will have a full blown meltdown

There was this new weird mopping robot at our Aldi (think the security robot that was at Crocker Park a while ago). My daughter was crying because it went down the aisle next to us and I think scared her, and then she was crying even more when it turned the corner away from her. “Bye robot!!! 😭😭😭” 😅😅
