HTA Knights senior boys rugby

The 2026 Knights boys rugby team had a season to remember. They became Clearwater Cup Champions in both the JV and Senior divisions. Finishing with an unbeaten regular season and playoffs for the third year in a row, they capped off their season with a School Sport Alberta - 5A Boys Rugby Provincial Championship!

With our third consecutive Tier 1/5A Provincial Championship, we set a SSA record by becoming the first boys team to ever achieve this.

The players really bonded well, especially off the field. As a group they weren’t overly clicky and all the personalities found a way to work together for the greater good of the Team.

To our Senior group, thank you for your efforts and your sacrifices. A few of you played all three years and never lost a 15’s match up. Perfection, three years straight is so impressive. But I hope you learned some things from rugby, like how good it is to make others better and the importance of being a selfless team mate.

We hope wherever you go that Rugby is still apart of your life, either playing or coaching or just speaking kindly about the sport that is so much fun to play! You will all be missed, don’t be strangers! Never forget, Once a Knight, Always a Knight!⚔️🏉🩶💚🖤
