You can be eating healthy, training consistently and doing everything right… yet still struggle with a swollen, uncomfortable stomach 😔

And something I wish more women understood is that a distended tummy doesn’t automatically mean you’ve gained body fat, that your nutrition is poor… or that all your hard work has gone out the window!

There are so many things happening inside our bodies that can influence how we look and feel from one day to the next. LITERALLY!

Hormonal fluctuations, digestion, stress, food sensitivities and underlying health conditions can all play a role.

And sometimes, those things are completely outside our control.

For me personally, living with adenomyosis and endometriosis means abdominal swelling and discomfort can be part of my reality, even when I’m doing everything I can to look after myself.

As you can see in the photo above…

I have happy tummy days, and then I have painful, bad tummy days.

But one thing I’ve learned is that while I can’t always control what my body does .. I CAN control how I choose to support it.

And for me, nutrition and training are a big part of that.

I’ve become much more mindful of how I train, how I recover and what foods I eat.

I’m also much more intentional about supporting my digestion and gut health.

Not because I believe food can cure every underlying issue, but because making the right adjustments can sometimes help alleviate symptoms and make everyday life a little more comfortable.

Because nutrition isn’t just about losing body fat or building muscle. It’s also about how you FEEL.

I’ve tried many diets in my time, and that’s one of the reasons I teamed up with my partner to build our nutrition coaching app Meal Engine.

I don’t believe there’s a one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to nutrition.

And that’s something we’ve taken into consideration when developing our approach to nutrition coaching.

Because what works for one person might not work for another.

We all have different goals, lifestyles, preferences and nutritional needs.

I look forward to showing in court the abuse Ridglan Farms perpetrated on thousands of beagles for years, and the neglect of the legal system, law enforcement and animal protection agencies that didn’t protect the dogs even though they were well aware of the animal cruelty laws being broken at Ridglan Farms. What was going on at this facility you ask? To name a few, hundreds of eye surgeries done cage-side without anesthesia by unlicensed staff. Devocalizations (also known as “debarking”by cutting vocal cords) done without painkillers or after care also done in filthy conditions by unlicensed staff. Dogs in small, dirty wire cages causing widespread damage to paws and enormous psychological stress. Up to 8 years of constant impregnation alone in small wire cages for some breeding mothers. Proud to be a defendant in the #Ridglan51 trial.
