Alabama snook. Prior to 2021, I had caught maybe 4 snook here in my home state. In the last few years I’ve caught nearly 200, and have caught them in almost every local waterway. “One big cold front will kill them all” many said, but after a few very cold winters, including the biggest snowfall and 30 degree water temps, these fish are thriving and their population continues to grow. Who knows what we could see in a few more years? #snook #centropomusundecimalis @ngomsnookresearchteam @aftco @jmtackle @best_fishing_report @cayoboatworks

Been chasing a 40+ on fly for years, it’d be epic if I ended up doing it here. Heading south next month to try again, and do some scalloping. You ever fished out at Anclote key? I’m convinced that’s where it’ll happen. Caught my 37 there last year.
