A major milestone has been reached: 30.

We like to joke that we grew up together, but honestly, that’s an understatement. We’ve been together since we were 19, and I’ve had the privilege of witnessing and being part of every season of your life since then.

I could not be more proud of the man you’ve become and continue to become. Your intelligence, your confidence, your presence, your resilience. All of it. Life has tried to knock you down many times, some by your own doing and some not, but no matter what, I’ve watched you rise every single time.

There is something so sacred about truly knowing someone. Not just the polished parts, but the human parts too. And still being able to look at them with admiration, grace, and love. That has been one of the greatest honors of my life.

Your dad would not only be proud, he’d be overjoyed by the man you turned out to be.

I pray you have many more decades of laughter, brilliance, and purpose ahead of you.
