The Santa Clara County District Attorney’s office issued a warrant for the arrest of San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk on a misdemeanor charge of exhibition of speeding.

The warrant is in reference to a video Aiyuk posted to YouTube in December, in which he appears to tape himself from the driver’s seat going well over the posted 40 miles per hour speed limit. A few days after posting the video, Aiyuk apologized for sharing the video of himself driving. “Sorry ya’ll, my car content won’t come with speeding anymore,” Aiyuk wrote in a post to YouTube.

2 years in the making, this project is super personal to me. Every animal / bird you see In this vid was shot right outside my apartment here in KL. This green space, under the protection of the federal office of Wilayah Persekutuan is being slowly gutted.

This is an important step towards making Kuala Lumpur a “sponge city”, so that the city is not only more flood resistant but also cooler, more comfortable, and better suited to the daily lives of city dwellers’

So what’s the story?

2 years ago 1 man came and ring barked 8 trees (Ring barking is when someone removes a trees bark to expose it to the elements, usually this results in the tree catching a disease, or not being able to send the proper nutrients to it’s self. Resulting in the tree dying in a few weeks or months)

The guy that did this has told us he cut the trees so he could convert this space to his own personal garden. Since he started he has expanded the area slowly. We have been asking him since he did this, to at the very least just use the space he has and not expand the area any further. Each time we are met with aggression and claims that he can do as he wishes with the land.

This area is home to over 30 species of birds, mammals and countless reptiles. I usually work from home and being able to watch the animals nest, feed and shelter in this area is genuinely the hi light of every day for me. I am absolutely heart broken that the area is being cut in half for 1 mans vanity project. If more people had the same attitude as this guy, KL’s green spaces would vanish pretty quickly.
