Don’t even know where to start with this one but here it is… During the qualifying session Saturday morning I had the incident you see here. Going into turn 5, a part from the riders bike in front of me came off onto the racetrack and lodged into my front wheel. This caused the wheel to lock up instantly, as well as puncturing the rim and debeading the tire…the rest is history. To be honest I’m still processing this one. On one hand I’m beyond grateful to walk away on my own two feet, but at the same time just as disappointed in our luck lately. We had made a solid step with the bike in the previous session, and I felt like we were in a good spot moving forward. I’m sorry to the team, my sponsors and everyone else who supports me for the recent events. I’m doing everything I can to keep myself moving forward. Also want to wish my teammate @cameronbeaubier a speedy recovery as well. Was a rough weekend for us all, but I promise we’ll be back. Till the next one👊
