Doolin is often called the traditional music capital of Ireland, and Gus O’Connor’s is one of the best places in the country to experience a genuine session after a day exploring the Cliffs of Moher.

📍 Tigh Neachtain (Galway)
A Galway institution known for its cozy atmosphere, excellent musicians, and sessions that often spill out into the surrounding streets.

📍 Dick Mack’s (Dingle)
Part pub, part leather shop, and entirely unforgettable. Expect incredible local musicians, great craic, and a true Dingle experience.

📍 Sean’s Bar (Athlone)
Officially recognized as Ireland’s oldest pub, dating back over 1,100 years. The history is remarkable, but the live music and atmosphere are what keep visitors coming back.

And I’ve got to give props to the one in this reel which is, my personal favorite, Oliver St. John Gogartys right in the heart of Dublin. Known for its lively daily trad music sessions, literary namesake, and its role as a cornerstone of the vibrant Temple Bar cultural district.
