A student’s tornado school project is going viral, but not for the reason anyone actually intended. It was clearly built to show a massive tornado tearing through a neighborhood, complete with debris and destruction, but viewers quickly picked up on something else entirely, the tornado’s shape wasn’t exactly innocent.

Once people noticed it, there was no unseeing it. What started as a completely normal science project has since turned into a full blown internet meme, with people sharing it purely for the accidental resemblance nobody could’ve predicted when the kid built it.

For a duty pistol or rifle, a weapon-mounted light is nonnegotiable. It should be mandatory equipment.

You cannot make a correct decision without the information required to make it.

If you can’t positively identify what’s in front of you, everything after that is compromised.

You are accountable for every Trigger press and every round that leaves the barrel. Every shot has to be tied to an acceptable sight picture and a confirmed decision to shoot at some level. In low light, none of that happens without first solving the information problem.

That’s what the light does.

It gives you information. It allows you to positively identify the problem, process what you’re seeing, make the decision, and then apply the solutionwith accountability.

And with what @surefire_llc is doing with the XC3, the argument against carrying a light full-time is getting harder to justify.

This isn’t extra equipment.

It’s part of the weapon system.

Have a good one.

Train hard.

Saw this video on @elevated_performance_concepts page, thanks for posting it, it’s a great example for discussion.

This is one of the first pictures I have of my Mrs. My jeans had holes in them, so she decided to finish them off, shredded them, and wore a strip as a bandana. I probably should have taken that as fair warning. 😂

Since then, we’ve traveled the world, built businesses, had some ridiculous adventures, and made a life together that I wouldn’t trade for anything. And this picture still makes me smile because that’s my love—funny, creative, a little trouble, and looking far too pleased with herself.

I love everything we’ve built, but I love the everyday stuff with you just as much. Having coffee, figuring out dinner, making each other laugh. I’m happy I get to be the one beside you for all of it.

Happy birthday, my love. You’re still my favorite person, and apparently I never needed those jeans anyway. ❤️🥂
