5 months agoColombia faces a choice between a philosopher, Iván Cepeda, and a lawyer, Abelardo de la Espriella. Cepeda and his wife, an anthropologist, have devoted their lives to promoting human rights, social justice, and respect for all forms of life. Many of their supporters credit them with helping expose abuses of power and contributing to legal efforts against former president Álvaro Uribe. On the other hand, Abelardo de la Espriella is a lawyer who has represented several controversial figures, including individuals linked to drug trafficking and others facing legal proceedings in the United States. He has also drawn criticism for statements and videos that many consider offensive, as well as for his confrontational rhetoric toward political opponents and women. For many Colombians, this election is not simply about politics; it is about choosing between two very different visions of leadership, values, and the future of the country. @ivancepedacastr for president 🇨🇴 🇨🇴 🇨🇴 on June 21, 2026.
