What if I painted a mural?🤍

I asked my husband that question standing in our guest room, at one of the most confusing times of my life. Shortly after finding out I was pregnant, I got laid off. I felt so much joy and so much fear at the same time, and I didn’t know where to put any of it.

So I put it into her. Our baby girl, and her nursery.

I’d never painted a mural before. But I’ve always loved to paint and create, and for the first time in a long time, I felt inspired. 🐶 ⛰️

I hand-drew every line, inspired by Stilton, our first baby, and by every trail, mountain, and adventure that led us here. I wanted her to wake up every morning surrounded by our story 🥹🩷

“Worst case scenario, I’ll just paint over it,” I told him.

20+ hours later, I could never paint over it. This wall has held my worries, my hopes, and so many quiet tears. It’s the most meaningful thing I’ve ever designed, and it isn’t even finished yet. 🎨🌿🐾

I’d love to know what you think so far. Would you ever paint a mural in your home? 👇

Don’t let them steal this victory from you.

A historic Christian war memorial at St Alban’s Catholic Church in Warrington, England, was vandalized in an attack believed to have taken place on October 30, 2026. The statue of Jesus Christ was beheaded, green paint was sprayed across His body and offensive graffiti was left on the memorial honoring parishioners who served in both World Wars.

However, one detail has received far less media attention. Orange graffiti resembling Arabic script was sprayed across the memorial plaque, containing what parish priest Canon Christopher Cunningham described as offensive messages directed against Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church. The graffiti was quickly removed by a church volunteer on November 1, the same day the damage was discovered. While numerous media outlets covered the beheaded statue, few examined the Arabic-looking markings or their possible meaning.

The attack has deeply upset the local Catholic community, especially as it occurred shortly before Remembrance Sunday. Cheshire Police are treating the vandalism as a hate crime and confirmed that a 42-year-old man was detained under the Mental Health Act. The parish priest encouraged believers to remain united and strong in their faith despite the attack.
