Há um ano eu partia novamente rumo ao desconhecido, fruto de um convite para uma residência, pesquisa e nova imersão na cultura japonesa. Outro dia revelei alguns filmes e deu saudade dos mergulhos, das contradições, das belezas, dos sushis no terraço, dos silêncios, dos sorrisos, dos cansaços, do imprevisível, da magia, do acaso. Das comidas, das gentilezas, das paisagens, de absorver o mistério, de não entender nada, de entender tudo.

A year ago, I set off once again into the unknown, following an invitation to participate in a residency, conduct research, and immerse myself anew in Japanese culture. The other day I developed some film, and it made me miss the deep dives, the contradictions, the beauty, the sushi on the terrace, the silences, the smiles, the exhaustion, the unpredictable, the magic, the chance encounters. The food, the kindness, the landscapes, absorbing the mystery, understanding nothing, understanding everything.
