Did you know that holding a grudge once served as a tool for survival? 💭 Feeling betrayed or hurt by someone can linger for weeks, or even years. Our ancestors remembered who wronged them to avoid danger or to seek revenge. Yet, as we now know, clinging to resentful feelings can take a toll on our mental, emotional, energetic, and even physical well being. 🙌
☠️ 🌎 Is it worth hanging on to that weight? Personally, I recognize that feeling this way is a *natural* brain response 🧠 when we perceive that we’ve been wronged. But with emotional awareness comes a choice: to ruminate and give those feelings MORE energy or to let them go or to transform the energy through movement or other constructive practices.
❕〽️Of course, the bigger the betrayal, the longer the pain may last… and sometimes it may never completely disappear. 🫥 Yet, over time, the intensity can diminish. 🤲 For the sake of our health, it’s crucial to consider letting go or at least shifting the energy in a healthier direction.
