I thought I had more time 💔

She spent years asking me to call her “Ammamma,” and I always called her aunty. I never knew that day would come only after she was gone.

So today, for the first time…

Ammamma. ♥️

She wasn’t my grandmother by blood, but she was every bit a grandmother to me. She loved me with a kind of love that asked for nothing in return. A love that was constant, unconditional, and impossible to replace.

I never imagined I would have to live in a world without her.

She had so many dreams for us. She wanted to be there when I got pregnant. She wanted to move into the new house we are building. She wanted to sit with us, celebrate with us, and be a part of every chapter of our lives.

She wanted to stay.

And we wanted her to stay too.

Now every corner of our lives reminds us of her absence. Every day feels heavier. Not a single day has passed without tears in our eyes.

I didn’t want to share this, but so many of you loved her and have been a part of our lives. You deserve to know that she has gone to be with God.

She loved all of you.

She loved everyone who loved us.

Even in her final moments, her last words were about me, Ram, and Swetha. Even when her own life was slipping away, her heart was still with us.

That is who she was.

A woman whose love never stopped.

What breaks me the most is knowing that even in this condition, she celebrated my birthday. She was there with me. She smiled with me.

And now I have to accept that she won’t be there for my next one.

I keep looking for ways to believe this isn’t real.

I keep expecting to see her again.

I keep wishing for just one more conversation, one more hug, one more chance to call her what she always wanted to hear.

Ammamma.

I promise I’ll carry your love with me for the rest of my life.

And I will miss you every single day.
