The Beatles would not be who they are without Brian Epstein.
Epstein discovered @thebeatles in a Liverpool basement club in November 1961, got turned down by every major label in London, and eventually landed them at Parlophone with George Martin. He negotiated @theedsullivanshow appearance that put them in front of 73 million American viewers on February 9, 1964.
He did all of it at a time when being with another man could land you in prison.
Epstein, who @paulmccartney once called the fifth Beatle, was posthumously inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.
