Pattern // The Homecoming Quilt Vest pattern by @katrynseeburger is my latest finished test knit. According to Ravelry, I started this on March 2, so for all of you who think I am some kind of speed-knitter 👀, this vest took me 3 months to make. 💟

Size // I made size 7 which has a 56” finished chest circumference. This gives me 8-10” of positive ease currently. My body changed within the 3 months I knit this, so it does have more ease than I intended but I still love the fit on me. Note: The recommended positive ease in the pattern is 2-4” and there are 10 sizes up to a 68” finished chest circumference.

Yarn // The main light purple is by @fireweed.fibreco in their Sweet Pea Sock Base in the colour Forget Me Not. The other 3 contrast purples are by @feistyfibres in their Rockin Sox Base and are mystery OOAK skeins. I used a total of 2,175 meters of fingering weight yarn held double to achieve the DK gauge.

I absolutely love how this turned out. All the details are on my Ravelry project page. It was a pleasure to test for @katrynseeburger with a relaxed timeline & size inclusive pattern. I loved seeing all the testers’ creativity with their colour combinations. 🌈
