As life keeps going with all its ups and downs, doing Pilates is one of my consistent practices that keeps me strong and gives me joy.
These past few months I have been really struggling in my body- hormonally everyday seems to present a new challenge, and physically I have been dealing with chronic neck pain, and reactivated hip pain from a torn labrum- some days I have felt so frustrated, hopeless, exhausted by chronic pain and have felt wildly impatient with myself and my body. I catch myself thinking things about myself I would never dare say to someone I love. I have been thinking about this a lot.. Today is a good day. lt’s time to be kinder, and gentler to myself- give myself a little grace. This video reminds me that thru all my aches and pains I am still strong and able- I have come a long way. I love Pilates, but am especially grateful for my Pilates instructor @physicalperfectionpilates who is so highly skilled and intuitive and not only continues to push me and challenge me in every session, but knows when to back off when something hurts or feels uncomfortable. Having been a dancer for years she understands the body is ways you want your instructor to know the body, and we laugh a lot- love you Kim, thank you for being by my side thru this wild ride 💕🙏🏽
