Now, a federal judge has ruled that the action was illegal and ordered Trump’s name to be removed. ____________________________________According to @apnews, U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper made the ruling on Friday. Judge Cooper also ruled that the board’s vote to close the venue for renovations was “ill-informed and seemingly preordained” with no regard for its legal obligations. Renovations were set to begin in July, leaving the center closed for two years. ____________________________________Judge Cooper said, “The trustees might have assessed the propriety of closure in a number of prudent ways. This was not one.” He also said the board “overstepped its statutory bounds” when adding Trump’s name to the building, and ordered his name be removed. ____________________________________Cooper added, “May the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts be renamed absent Congressional authorization? The answer, plain from the face of the statute, is no. Nor can any other individual be memorialized on the front portico of the building.” ____________________________________The order to remove Trump’s name also includes “official materials,” such as physical or digital signs. This Wednesday’s choice: a bridge variation with an extra-long leg stretch woven into it. The kind of pose that invites me to keep reaching, lifting, and exploring just a little more.

What I love most about shapes like this is the feeling of creating space from the inside out. Pressing firmly into the ground, lifting as high as possible, and enjoying that delicious stretch that travels through the entire body.
